5/21/2009 - St. Helena Hospital Announces Changes to Foster Long-Term Growth
Terry Newmyer, president/CEO of St. Helena Hospital, announced the introduction of an aggressive new business model to improve the hospital's financial stability and growth opportunities. As part of this, 28 positions plus 12 that are not currently filled are being eliminated.

St. Helena Hospital presents "Laugh Without Leaking," with urologist James Woolley, MD who will discuss the latest treatments for incontinence problems.

There will be a memorial service for the Jacobson family - Erin and Amy, Taylor, Ava and Jude - at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Pacific Union College Church in Angwin, Calif.

3/23/2009 - Statement Regarding the Death of Dr. Erin Jacobson
"The St. Helena Hospital family is filled with such deep sadness over the deaths of Dr. Erin Jacobson, his wife Amy, and their three children, Taylor, Ava and Jude. Erin was an ophthalmologist at St. Helena Hospital, and his father, Dr. John Jacobson, is a cardiac surgeon at our hospital."

1/27/2009 - Free Event: Passport to A Healthy Heart & Beyond
St. Helena Hospital presents "Passport to a Healthy Heart & Beyond," an American Heart Month event focusing on fun, inexpensive travel tips and information about heart disease. The seminar is February 17 at 6 p.m. at Tra Vigne restaurant, 1050 Charter Oak, in St. Helena.

1/7/2009 - St. Helena Hospital Announces Leadership Change
JoAline Olson, president/CEO of St. Helena Hospital for the past 11 years, has been named vice president of clinical innovation for the hospital's parent healthcare system Adventist Health. Terry Newmyer of Florida Hospital will be the new president/CEO of St. Helena Hospital and its sister facilities, St. Helena Hospital Clearlake in Lake County and the St. Helena Center for Behavioral Health in Vallejo. The leadership change takes effect in early February.
