VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
Tremendous opportunities exist for anyone interested in joining the team of dedicated volunteers at St. Helena Hospital.
Here are just a few of the areas in which we need assistance on a day-to-day basis:
St. Helena Hospital
Courtesy Desk Escorts assist with:
- Lab and Pharmacy pick-up and delivery
- Patient transport and discharge
- Flower and mail delivery
Project Center staff assist with:
- Mailings
- Other special duties
Other opportunities include:
- Filing and phones in various hospital departments
- Lifeline Office and installation
- Book/Magazine cart attendant
Big Oak Gift Shop
The Big Oak Gift Shop provides a variety of volunteer opportunities as well as a cash contribution to the Hospital
’s operating budget. Volunteer positions are available in the following areas:- Cashiers/customer service
- Stockroom receiving and pricing
- Floral Design Assistants
Acorn Thrift Shop
Providing an essential community service, the Acorn Thrift Shop accepts donations of clothing, books, and other household items. The items are then sold and the proceeds are used to help provide valuable Hospital Services. Volunteers are needed to:
- Receive and sort items
- Price items for sale
- Stock racks and shelves
- Provide customer service/cashier
