Speech-Language pathology services include, but need not be limited to,
the following:
Screening to identify individuals who require further evaluation to determine
the presence or absence of a communicative disorder.
Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language and oral and pharyngeal sensorimotor
competencies by a qualified speech-language pathologist.
Planning, directing and conducting habilitative, rehabilitative and counseling
programs to treat disorders of verbal and written language, voice,
articulation, fluency, interactive communication, oral motor, deglutition,
auditory and/or visual processing, memory, cognition/communication,
and assisted and/or augmentive communication treatment
and devices.
Evaluating and diagnosing swallowing disorders, using videofluoroscopy.
Patient and family education to enhance treatment outcomes.
