OVERVIEW OF STAFF
Gary Mills, PhD, is the founder and director of the Pain Management
Program. He is a psychologist specializing in Pain Management, Psychotherapy,
Behavioral Medicine and Chemical Dependency. He received his Master's
in Psychology from San Francisco State College and his PhD in General
Experimental Psychology from the University of Ottawa. He is Board Certified
by the American Academy of Pain Management and is a member of the American
Psychological Association, the American Pain Society and the International
Association for the Study of Pain.
Thomas Stiles, MD, serves as medical director for both the Pain Management
Program and the Nicotine Addiction Program. Dr. Stiles
obtained his medical degree and served his residency at Loma Linda University
with a specialization in internal medicine. He opened his private practice
in the Napa Valley in 1973.
Andrew Alexander, MD, serves as the attending physician to the
Pain Management Program in addition to being Medical Director, St.
Helena Medical Group, Fellow, American Academy of Family Physicians and
Medical Director of Recovery Enterprises.
Courtney Persinger, PsyD, is a psychologist
specializing in pain management, chemical dependency and family therapy.
He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in pain management in the
Department of Anesthesia at the University of California, San Francisco.
He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
